To clerify the chronometrical. morphology pattern of Lucilia sericata for application in the determination of postmortem interval in homicide cases. The forensic important fly Lucilia sericata was reared at different constant temperatures to stydy its morphological change during their growth. The structural traits of posterior spitacles, skin and digestive dust regularly changed with larval growth and according to these,the whole stage of Lucilia sericata could.be divided into 8 stages. The duration each stage needed is different in different constant temperature longer in low temperature and shorter in higher temperature. Some traits of maggot morphology could be used as insect age mark, thus postmortem interval indicator.
