China is a big agricultural country, but agriculture lagged far behind urban economic development. A severe shortage of agricultural market information activities in agricultural production can not bring economic benefits to farmers. The paper has investigated information technology in a rural district of Chongqing City, analyzed the needs of information technology in the rural areas, and discussed the application of information technology to the rural areas.
