Huizhou documents arc the fifth big discovery of Chinese history and culture in the 20th century following the Oracle, bamboo slips of Qin and Han Dynasties, Dunhuang documents, archives of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.It contributed to the formation of the new discipline of Huizhou.In a large number of Huizhou documents, land sale contracts accounted for the largest proportion.This paper reviews the main research results of this issue in order to further understand the relationship between the land of Huizhou and focus on Huizhou rural social and economic development.
