The treatment of chronic recurrent ulcerative colitis was explored based on syndrome differentiation with methods of promoting Yang-qi to elevate sunk-qi, soothing liver and invigorating spleen and benefiting both spleen and kidney. The treatment focused on enriching spleen and therapeutic effect was proved well in clinical treatment. All these provided a new thinking for treating ulcerative colitis.
