A test was carried out to study the preferred reverberation time for the three typical Chinese instrumental music motifs. Two subject groups were tested, the experienced audio technician group and the common student group. The test method is the paired-comparison method. The preferred reverberation times for the test motifs were thus determined. For the same motif, the result difference between the different groups is not salient.
