文凭社会与劳动力市场分割是当前高等教育毕业生面临的就业环境。本文运用2006年北京市企业调查获得的员工数据,对有高等教育学历的企业员工的文凭过度情况进行了分析,这对于建构中国本土化的过度教育理论、认识大学生就业的短期问题和长期趋势都有重要意义。研究发现,高等教育毕业生在主要劳动力市场的激烈竞争是导致国有企业员工过度教育的重要原因,而且竞争导致高收入行业中的研究生出现过度教育。主要劳动力市场的员工即使发生过度教育,也能通过收入和其他福利获得补偿,而次要劳动力市场的员工文凭贬值现象比较严重。
