Based on the field investigation of Xinjiang cotton production costs factor and the relevant infor- mation, using macro and micro analysis method, this research carried on comparative analysis of cotton pro- duction costs and economic performance in South Xinjiang and North Xinjiang, studied regional differences of production costs structure change and economic performance, explored the reasons for the excessive growth of cost. Finally put forward some measures for increasing farmers income and improving the economic benefits of cotton production costs.
