Objective To investigate the expressions and relationship of orosomucoid l-like protein 3（ORMDL3） and E26 transformation specific-1 （Ets-1） in peripheral blood of children with recurrent wheeze. Methods The mRNA expressions of ORMDL3 and Ets-1 in the peripheral blood were detected by RT-PCR in 24 cases of non-allergic controls（group A） and 25 cases of recurrent wheeze（group B）. Results The rnRNA expressions of ORMDL3 and Ets-1 in group B were higher than those in group A （P〈0. 05）. There was a positive correlation between the expressions of ORMDL3 and Ets-1 in both groups （r=0. 7704, P〈0. 05）. Conclusion The gene expressions of ORMDL3 and Ets-1 are closely correlated with the pathogenesis of recurrent wheeze in children.
