Mojette transform is one of redundant transform. The discrete signal can be transformed into a finite set of hyper-planes. Since the projections are independent from each other, the number of projections or the angles or the operators can be choosen free- ly, in order to control the ratio of the redundancy. The main features of the mojette transform and its applications for image coding and image analysis are discussed. The low complexity enables the direct and inverse transforms to be easily implemented and extended. Experiments prove that the mojette transform can play an important role in image representation, error robust image transmission, image information hiding techniques etc.
