In this paper, the source of the new rice variety Yanjing29 and its breeding process, characteris- tics and experiment results were described in detail, and its cultivation technique was summarized. Yan- jing29 was an elite variety newly developed and characterized by extremely early-maturity, high quality, high yield, fertilizer tolerance, disease resistance and lodging-resistance. The variety was certified by the Variety Certification Committee of Jilin Province in February 2015.
