Reliability technology is fast developing technologies from redundancy in hardware technology to fauh-tolerant. This article briefly described the failure of the electric drive system and the primary failure mechanism, focused on the major fault-tolerant control strategies of the motor windings open circuit or short circuit. Finally, the fault-tolerant control technical indicators were proposed.
