With the successful operation of the four free trade zones respectively in Shanghai city,Guangdong province,Tianjin City,and Fujian province,all over the country much attention has been paid on the third batches of application and approval for free trade zones. As an important province for the midlands rise in China,Henan province attaches great importance to the application and setting up of Free Trade Zone for realizing its open economic development,and for constructing the overall and three-dimensional new opening-up pattern in China. At present the development of open economy in Henan province still has to face the severe domestic and international situation,the weakness of traditional advantageous competitive power,and the risk of ＂being marginalized＂again in the new regional strategy pattern of China. Therefore,it is necessary to copy and popularize the successful experience and acts in the Free Trade Zones already in operation,promote the reform of system and mechanism with great effort,create the new trade modes,build up the inland traffic hub,＂softening the industrial structure ＂,and these methods will help Henan province to develop its open economy effectively.
