英文摘要：

Throughout the period from 1970s to the present, geography is in a state of turmoil. We present a short introduction to the issues confronting the disciplines of geography. Recent humanization development of physical geographical studies in the USA and Europe is reviewed mainly based on The Changing Nature of Physical Geography by Derek Gregory. The interactions between human geography and physical geography are discussed from a view of nature production. It is necessary to do studies on unity of geography beyond the dichotomy of physical and human geography. It is a great challenge to do the unity of geography for Chinese geographers based on important issues such as IGBP-HDP, global change, sustainable development as well as the social problems .
