Based on the investigation of the soil erosion of Chishui river basin, the soil erosion type of Cishui river basin was divided into three different categories by the principle of similarity and difference. And those categories were upstream middle and low mountains moderate soil erosion region, midstreamLow mountains and hills mild to moderate soil erosion region, and downstream hills and low mountains mild soil erosion region. The corresponding measures for soil and water conservation were also put forward according to the characteristics of different soil erosion region.
