Frugal innovation model provides a new idea for the enterprises how to move away from innovators dilemma under a low carbon economy,more cost effective is the key to achieve and innovative frugal style.Frugal innovation originated in the appropriate technology,frugal engineering and Gandhi innovation theory.Its core is to reduce the complexity to remove insubstantial characteristics of product and reduce production costs,create a more inclusive of high quality and cheap products and services.It has the characteristics of the economical,flexible,inclusive and democratic.It contains six specific guiding rule of finding opportunities in adversity,doing more with less,thinking and acting flexibly reaction,the product simple and practical,attracting marginalized groups and trusting their instincts.Frugal innovation practice in emerging market countries can provide useful lessons for Chinese innovation policies of frugal innovation to promote social and economic sustainable development,to strengthen the integration of the frugal innovation and new technology,and realize inclusive innovation path of growth.
