The experiment was to study the effect of Cu^2+ on the antioxidative defence system in muscle of Paralichthys olivaceus, such as the activities of CAT, SOD and GSH-PX. After 10 days' exposure experiment, the results showed that the activities of CAT, SOD and GSH-PX were inducted in low concentration of Cu^2+ and inhibited in high concentration of Cu^2+ . These results also suggested SOD was more sensitive to low concentration of Cu^2+ than the others, and it could be served as bio-monitoring index of low concentration Cu^2+ exposure in aquatic ecosystem.
