In order to describe the inner operation process of the product development ProA（Activity and its Process） and to provide better support for the product development process management,a general model of product development ProA was established.Firstly,the internal operation mechanism of product development ProA was analyzed.Then,by applying the pigmentation principles of polychromatic sets,the Petri net was improved and the polychromatic ProA Petri net method was formed.On the basis of this,the ProA general Petri net model was constructed.Finally,the application of this model in automobile fuel pumps one-way valve tester development was presented.
