This paper aims at the investigation and research of the old residential area reconstruction project in Shanping street of Zhongshan district, in Dalian. The author researches the life behavior and energy saving reconstruction effect of the residents, through the way of measurement, indoor interview, fietdsurvey and questionnaire investigation.In addition, the paper analyzes and estimates the present situation of energy saving reconstruction in old residential area of Shanping street, aiming at providing reference for the current energy-saving construction projects in the old residential areas in the northern cold cities.
