There has been increased attention to some manganese oxides, because of their unique physi- cal structure,large magnetocaloric effect and broad magnetic refrigeration temperature range (80-375K), which are likely to become excellent refrigerants. In this paper, the magnetocaloric effect in ABO_3(A=R1-xMx;B=Mn) manganese oxides is summarized from two aspects of theory and experiment,and the research results of magnetic refrigeration of typical ABO_3-type manganese oxide materials are introduced.
