语言是文化的载体和结晶,任何语言有其深刻的文化内涵;而文化制约着语言形式,是语言所赖以存在的基础。因此,英语教学不能独立于文化学习之外。然而,由于种种因素,农村英语文化教学没有引起足够的重视。因此,要采取措施使农村英语教学做到语言教学与文化教学相结合。农村英语教师在教学中要有意识地渗透文化教育,这也是英语新课程标准对新世纪教师提出的一个新要求。

A language is the carrier of a culture and has its deep cultural connotation;a culture restricts its language form.Therefore,English teaching is inseparable from cultural learning.Due to various factors,English culture teaching in rural areas has not been given sufficient attention.Measures should be taken to ensure culture teaching alongside with language teaching in rural areas.
