以晋西北地区11个县区为样本，基于静态和动态分析视角，通过主成分分析、回归／分析的统计方法，探讨了晋西北地区人口分布现状、特点以及影响其分布的决定性因素；进而分析了人口分布与区域自然环境和经济发展的协调性。结果表明：影响晋西北地区人口分布的决定性因素是耕地面积和非农业产值比重，人口分布与区域经济发展基本上是协调的，但人口分布与其自然环境很不协调，成为该地区可持续发展的制约因素。
英文摘要：
Based on the static and dynamic analyzing of the population distribution status in the Northwest Shanxi, this paper takes 11 areas in the northwest for the samples to discuss the crucial factors of population distribution and analyzes the coordination of population distribution with regional natural environment and economy development by the statistic methods of principal component analysis and regression analysis. The results show that： the crucial factors which affect the population distribution are arable area and the proportion of non-agricultural＇ s output value, the relationship between population distribution and regional economy development are basically coordinated, but the relationship between population distribution and regional natural environment are barely coordinated, which has been the constrained factor of the regional sustainability.
