Based on the principles of spatial economics,this paper constructs the vector model of labor movement between eastern and western regions from the perspective of the impact of population movement on regional gap,and analyzes the influence and function mechanism of population movement on regional gap.And it draws the conclusion that the effect of population movement on regional gap is characteristic of phase change.Finally,it proposes policy recommendations on population movement for narrowing regional gap.
