目的提出深化大陆构造研究，发展板块构造，推动固体地球科学发展的思考与建议，以引起关注与讨论。方法面对当代地球科学的最新发展和板块构造与大陆动力学研究的新进展，根据中国大陆地质与大陆构造在全球共性中的地域突出特点及其在现代地学发展中的独特意义，提出深化大陆构造研究的思考和建议。结果提出了一系列新的思考和建议。结论深化大陆构造研究是发展板块构造，推动固体地球科学发展的必由之路，势在必行。
英文摘要：
Aim To put forward ideas and suggestions regarding promotion of solid earth sciences through development of continental tectonics and plate tectonics. Methods Taking considerations of geological characteristics of China continent on the global geological background and new developments in modem plate tectonics and continental dynamics to propose some new thinking and suggestions. Results A series of ideas and suggestions were presented. Conclusion To promote solid earth sciences by development of plate tectonics is inevitable.
