企业信息技术促进组织变革与构筑全球化竞争优势是当代管理学研究的热点问题。企业导入信息技术并不一定能降低成本、提高产品质量与服务的附加价值.学者们把上述问题称为“IT生产率悖论”。本文旨在以海尔信息技术动态发展过程为案例研究对象,研究信息技术如何动。态促进IT能力的形成与组织边界的跨越.以及组织边界跨越与IT能力如何通过相互适配与协同演化构筑企业竞争优势。本文基于组织边界跨越和IT能力理论分析海尔信息技术发展过程.指出信息系统和组织人员分别作为边界跨越载体和边界跨越者,与边界跨越的动力机制相结合构成组织跨越边界的重要条件.而边界跨越的条件与IT边界跨越能力的形成是企业实施信息系统、构筑竞争优势的关键因素。本研究结论将有助于克服“IT生产率悖论”.对中国企业利用信息技术提高竞争优势具有重要的现实指导意义。
Enterprise inputs information technology (IT), but does not necessarily reduce cost, improve the quality of products or added value of services. Scholars call the above problem as "IT productivity paradox". Since the 1990s, Chinese enterprises input information systems (IS), present the popularization and in-depth application, IT outsourcing in deep and other new features. This paper takes Haier IS development as a case study, researching the process of enterprise IS-enabled IT capability and boundary spanning, to analyze the model of co-evolution of boundary spanning and IT capability building competitive advantage. This paper uses the case study method with international standards, to discuss the development process and the role of Haier IS through the theories of IT capability and boundary spanning, indicating that IS and every person in organization are respectively boundary objects and boundary spanner, combined with the dynamic mechanism of boundary spanning, which constitutes conditions of boundary spanning. While the boundary conditions and IT capability are key factors in the success of IS. For practical significance, the conclusions of this study effectively overcome the IT productivity paradox, to input IS for enterprise building competitive advantage. It has important realistic significance for Chinese companies to improve the competitive advantage of information technology.
