A method for the determination of eight kinds of organophosphorus pesticides in surface water has been established by solidphase extraction（SPE） gas chromatography with flame photometric detector（GC - FPD）. The detection limits of this method for different organophosphorus pesticides were in the range of 0.09 - 0.26μg/L with relative standard deviations ranging from 3.1% to 9.7 % （ n = 8） and the recovery rates were from 61.3% to 103.2%. The method proposed by this paper possesses higher prodicibility and selectivity than traditional gas chromatography and is promising in real applications of determining the organophosphorous pesticides in surface water.
