A coordination polymer of {Mn[(CH2COO)NH(CH2COOH)]2(H2O)2}n(1) was synthesized and characterized structurally. It crystallizes in the tetragonal space group P 4ˉ 21 c with a=0.809 7(3) nm,b=0.810 6(3) nm,c=0.953 2(3) nm, α=β=γ=90°. Each Mn(Ⅱ) ion is six-coordinated and displays distorted octahedral coordination environment. The result of the magnetic measurement indicates that complex 1 is a kind of good magnetic refrigeration material.
