英文摘要：

Statistical uncertainty of design variables is not yet considered in the classic stress-strength interference model. Based on the classic stress-strength interference model and confidence interval statistic theory,we first described and calculaed the reliability index β. Then,a stress-strength interference model based on parameter estimation interval was proposed. In such a model,the statistical uncertainty of design variables is taken into account. Finally,the relationship between statistical uncertainty and sample size is determined. Analysis shows the feasibility of the interference model proposed in this paper for describing the statistical uncertainty.
