Lung cancer is one of the most common malignant tumor and its overall 5-year survival rate is under 14%. Early diagnosis is an important way which can improve the 5-year survival rate of the patients. From the clinical point of view, tumor markers have important utility in screening and diagnosis of lung cancer. In this paper, we review present status and progress of serum tumor markers for detection and early detection of lung cancer.
