Zhe Chen was born in Hunan Province, China, in 1957. He received the B.S. degree in applied physics in 1982 and the M.S. degree in optical engineering in 1988 both from the National University of Defense Technology (China). He received Ph.D. degree in physical electrics from Tsinghua University, Beijing, in 2000. He is currently a professor with Jinan University, Guangzhou. His research interests include optical fiber passive devices for optical communication, optical fiber sensors, and optical design. Chun-He Bai was born in Guangdong Province, China, in 1975. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Jinan University, Guangzhou, in 1999. He is currently an engineer with the Department of Optoelectric Engineering, Jinan University. His research interest includes optical passive components.
