Niobium has excellent physical and chemical Properties, as well as its biocompatibility, and has been used in different areas in stomatology. The applications of niobium in dental implant, prosthodontics, orthodontics and maxillofacial surgery are due to its low modulus of elasticity, strong corrosion resistance; and the applications in endodontics and oral radiology are due to its high radiopacifying. This paper reviews the researches and applications of niobium in stomatology, in order to provide a reference for further application of niobium.
