在Hotelling模型的框架下对在位厂商的进入遏制策略进行了研究,重点分析了在位厂商如何利用安置基础对创新厂商的进入进行遏制,另外还对学习成本的壁垒效应进行了分析.把网络外部性、消费者的学习成本与耐用产品的序贯创新结合起来,比较深刻地反映了网络外部性条件下的市场结构特征和消费者发生转换的机制.
This paper studies the entry deterrence strategies of incumbent with Hotelling model, and analyzes the strategic effect using incumbent' s installed base on the entrant deterrence. What' s more, the effect of learning cost acting as entry barrier is analyzed. The contribution of this paper is that we combine the network externalities, customer's learning cost and the sequential innovation of durable products, and explains thoroughly the market structure features and the customer's switch mechanism under the condition of network externalities.
