Since the implementation of new-type rural cooperative medical system, the level of medical security of farmers has been greatly improved. In addition, the system has promoted and guaranteed China＇s rural economic development and agricultural modernization. However, there are also some problems in its implementation, such as its unstable fund raising mechanism, the low attendance caused by the principle of voluntary insurance, the stable financing mechanism, gradually adopting the mandatory participation pattern, implementing the mode of ensuring serious illness together with minor ones, and strengthening the construction of rural medical institutions.
