The extraction of palmprint features is the most crucial step in palmprint recognition. The recognition rate and efficiency of the system is heavily dependent on the choice of the feature extraction algorithm. Based on publications in recent years, the algorithms of palmprint feature extraction are classified according to the analysis and description methods.
