From the perspective of demographic characteristics of families,this essay analyzes the level of health investment of farm households by using large sample household survey data. The result shows that family sex ratio does not have significant effects on the overall level of health investment of farm households; with the expansion of family size, the overall level of health investment increases, but on the contrary the average level decreases; with the increase in the number of generations, the overall level of health investment improves; farm households with light burden have the highest overall level of health investment, and those in which all the members are labor force have the lowest level. The paper concludes with relevant policy recommendations.
