Surgical procedures can alleviate the pain of the patients and improve the quality of life as well as the social satisfaction,however,the complications such as postoperative infections may bring some harm to the patients as well or even lead to the failure of surgery or death.In this review,the definition,classification,and current status of the surgical site infections were briefly described,the related risk factors for the surgical site infections were analyzed,and the corresponding prevention measures were put forward according to the risk factors.
