By integrating of static and dynamic perspectives, we discussed the evolutionary mechanisms of the enterprise business model designed to adapt to the environment. The results showed that the business model structural complexity plays a mediate role on relationship between efficiency-centered business model design and simple adaptation, and the relationship between novelty-centered business models design and complex adaptive. Environmental uncertainty play a role of Mediated Moderation. The conclusion have important reference to business model design, remodeling and evolution of Chinese companies under current complex and volatile environment.
