With the completion of the human genome project, the structure and the function of bio-macro- molecules become a hot topic in life science. The crystallography is the basis for structural biology, to get single crystal with good quality remains a major bottleneck for structural determination of bio-macromole cules, such as protein, nucleic acid and their complexes. This paper introduces and analyses the basic theory and method for protein crystallization, as well as the recent progress in protein crystallization.
