硒是人体和动物必需的微量元素之一，自然界中常以无机物和有机物两种形式存在。无机硒对人和动物健康有较大的毒性作用，相对于无机硒，有机硒则具有毒性小，易吸收的特点，在动物生产中可以明显提高生产性能、机体免疫能力、繁殖能力、抗氧化能力和产品品质，对畜禽养殖生产中降低成本、提高品质具有至关重要的作用。本文就有机硒在人和动物中的应用研究进行综述。

英文摘要：

Selenium was one of essential trace elements for humans and animals and it existed in nature by inor- ganic and organic matter. Inorganic selenium had greater toxic effects on the health of human and animals. How- ever, organic selenium could obviously improve production performance, immunity, fecundity, antioxidant ca- pacity and product quality, which produced crucial influence on the cost reduction and quality improvement in animal production with the characteristics of low toxic and easy absorption. So, the applied researches of organic selenium in humans and animals were reviewed.
