In this paper, we investigate the properties of functions in the Bloch-type spaces. By using the pseudo-hyperbolic metric and some inequalities, we obtain a new characterization of Bloch-type spaces Ba（Bn） with 0 〈 a ≤ 1, which generalizes the Holland-Walsh characterization in a higher order version for Bloch-type spaces Ba（Bn）.
