The brain lnterleukin-1β（IL-β）plays an important role in the nerve injury caused by chron- ic stress, but its＇s mechanism still remain unclear. This paper will expound the possible mechanism of the central interleukin-1β in chronic stress-induced nerve injury, respectively from the channels of the neural precursor cells, nitric oxide, brain-derived neurotrophic factor and glucocorticoid activities in recent studies.
