As a vital part of the ecological civilization system in China, the ecological compensation of wetland plays an important role in the improvement of the wetland ecology as well as the establishment and perfection of the whole system. At present, the wetland ecological compensation in China is still at its initial stage, which does not live up to the requirements of ecological civilization construction; neither theoretically, nor practically. To guarantee a sustainable development of wetland ecology in china, the research of wetland ecological compensation system should draw lessons from foreign experience and make proposals in accordance with the sys- tem construction, which adheres to the scientific outlook on development.
