The characterization,classification,preparation and surface modification of magnetic nano-particles and their application as carrier in drug delivery system were reviewed.The potential advantage of magnetic nanoparticles for drug delivery lies in their magnetic property and multifunctional therapeutic activity,in addition to their targeting ability resulting in reduced toxic side effects.
