Our logic academia launched a far-reaching logical discussion from the 1950 s to 1960 s.One of the focuses of the discussion was the problem about the authenticity and validity of formal logic,which had attracted much attention of scholars,including Wen Gongyi. This paper tried to retrospect the discussion of this important problem in logical discussion from the 1950 s to 1960 s by combing Mr. Wen＇s analysis of the authenticity and validity,with which we can have a clearer understanding of the problem about authenticity and validity and have a more in-depth understanding of the fundamentality problem of logic and the problems that we should pay attention to in today ＇s logic teaching.
