Spiders, as the primary predatory arthropod of the agro-ecosystems, only have ocellus and audito-ry hairs instead of compound eyes and acoustic apparatus. As a result, only with visual sense, tactile sense, auditory sense, spiders are unable to find their ideal prey that beyond a relative distance efficiently and successfully. Accordingly, olfactory sense, that is, chemical communication plays an important role in infor-mation linkage between species and within species of spiders. A large number of researches, using ethologi-cal analysis, proves that spiders are able to use information-laden chemicals for communication between species and within species. However, the studies on spiders' sense of smell, which include mechanism of chemical pheromones' release and receive, structure, compound as well as other aspects of chemical pheromones are very limited so far. An overview about spiders' contact mechanism of chemical information between species and within species is made.
