In a free-ranging rhesus macaque Macaca mulatta tcheliensis group （WLK-1） （Wulongkou Scenic Area, Jiyuan, Henan province, China） , we observed a case of twin infants carried by an adult female at 17：30 on April 21th, 2014. Focal animal sampling method was used to describe the behavior characteristics of this female and the twins＇ develop- ment during early lactation. This was the first occurrence of twin infants in rhesus macaques in the field in China.
