Based on a brief introduce for the sensing mechanism of FBG(fibre Bragg grating) and the working mode,according to listing some successful cases of the application of FBG sensor for aerocraft structure health monitoring in some countries,and outlining the characteristic and successful experience of them,these can be proved that the application of FBG sensor for aerocaft structure health monitoring is feasible.Whereafter,for some problems of FBG sensor in application,some corresponding solutions are discussed,and the prospect and the development aspect of FBG sensor in the field of aerospace composite and structures health monitoring is set forth.
