In the structural design of Hangzhou Native Warehouse converted into museum,it adopts the method of retaining exterior wall structure and reconstructing new structural system. The concept design was conducted to analyze the feasibility of the design scheme of establishing a new frame system before dismantling the original frame on the premise of retaining original interior frame structural system. The key and difficult points in structural design were emphatically illustrated,including the determination and calculation of foundation forms of old and new structural systems,determination of the column grid and layer height,overall coordination analysis of the old and new structures,comparison of settlement and deformation results,and the practice of retaining building external wall. Corresponding construction guidance was put forward in order to reach the design requirements of constructing a new building before demolition.
