The 18th National Congress of CPC explicitly defined socialist core values with Chinese characteristics in 24 characters. The 12 words express in a simple and concise way what is required of the country, the society and of individual citizens, giving consideration to the value target of all the three and effectively combining political ideals with social orientations and codes of conduct. Clear - cut in form and rich in content, the theory is an embodiment of continuity and pertinence.
