Objective To discuss the methods of nursing supervision during the course of retinopathy of prematurity screening. Methods The eyes of 743 premature infants were examined by doctors using a computer-assisted binocular indirect ophthalmoscope system, and overall nursing supervision was practiced by nurses before, in, and after the examination. Results All premature infants went through the examination safely and favourably. Conclusions Due to developmental immaturity, functional defect, and low power of resistance in premature infants, it is vital for a good overall nursing supervision during the course of retinopathy of prematurity screening, which ensures the examination well done.
