极化电流行波方向继电器利用电流初始行波的高频分量信息和电压行波的工频分量信息构成保护判据,突破了传统电容式电压互感器(CVT)不能有效传变高频电压信号的瓶颈,实现了行波极性比较式方向保护,并成功投入在超、特高压输电线路运行。但在含有串联补偿电容的输电线路中,串补电容的存在将对行波的传播特性产生一定影响。对极化电流行波方向继电器在串补线路应用中所存在的问题进行了分析,通过研究CVT的频率特性,对其算法进行了改进。仿真结果表明,该改进算法在串补线路中具有正确的动作特性,且在各种不同故障下都有良好的动作性能。
The polarized current travelling wave based directional relay (PCTDR) utilizing high frequency component of initial current wave and power frequency component of voltage performs effectively in transmission line protection.This relay,which has been successfully implemented in extra-high voltage(EHV)/ultra-high voltage(UHV)transmission lines,can overcome the high frequency transmission limitations of the capacitor voltage transformer (CVT).However,the series capacitor has a significant impact on the travelling wave propagation characteristic in series compensated lines.In this regard,the application problems of PCTDR in series compensated lines are firstly analyzed.Moreover,an improved PCTDR algorithm is proposed based on an investigation of the frequency response of CVT.Further,extensive simulation results have shown that the improved algorithm has a good performance in series compensated lines and is well adaptive in various fault conditions.
